Unpacking Education One Post At A Time

Go Canada! The land of Maple
Forget the AI doom scroll for a second —sporty kids, here’s some good news: Canadian youth born June 2011–July 2016 can apply to be an Official Match Ball Carrier at FIFA World Cup next year.
Parents, if your kid lives and breathes soccer…Go ahead nominate your child !
This isn’t just a contest.
It’s an affirmation of their passion, dedication, and love for the game.
Think of all those carpool evenings spent at the field, the endless socks waiting to be washed, the snacks you have packed on autopilot, the miles you’ve driven to practices, the early game days, the late-night energy you somehow keep finding. If you’ve done all this (and know you will be doing it again next week), here’s something coming your way. Your child stepping onto the pitch, carrying the match ball in front of tens of thousands of fans… that’s more than a moment….a memory you will have forever.
Just a quick video (up to 2 minutes) telling their inspirational story and love for soccer. Six stories will be selected & Six stars will win a trip to FIFA World Cup 2026™ and walk the match ball out on the field ⚽.
A mom’s take:
Go ahead get your child’s video to stand out with one honest moment, one creative touch, and their real love for soccer front and center.
Don’t forget to add in something uniquely “them”—a quirky pre-game ritual, lucky socks, or a moment on the field they will never forget. And definitely wrap it up with a confident smile, a cheer, or even a bold little “Go Canada!” to make their video memorable.
Good to know before applying:
Deadline to apply-November 30th
The child must be the one telling their story and love for soccer.

Thank you for NOT (un)subscribing!
